New Subway Shopping Center October 16 2014

The Columbus Circle subway station between West 57th and West 58th Streets is receiving a makeover. Surrounded by the ostentations Central Park and the glamorous Time Warner Center, in the future subway passengers at this station will be able to do some of their shopping or grab a bite to eat.

The mall is sectioned into three parts: food stalls with quick options like Magnolia Bakery and Vegan Diva, retail outlets that include a wine shop and electronics, and a food hall with more serious fare and sit-down options.

The mall is expected to open in fall 2015.
